Why vote for me?
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
It is my honor to serve you as Mayor of Maplewood. During my time as Mayor, I guided the city through a pandemic and a year of social unrest, setting Maplewood on a path for success and a prosperous future. Through hard work and fiscal responsibility, I have helped reduce our debt by almost 50% since I joined the Council in 2014.
When things don’t make sense or won’t benefit Maplewood, I say so. I voted No to the Purple Line, saving both the Vento Trail and White Bear Avenue from a proposed boondoggle of a transit system.
Through good decision making and strong leadership, Maplewood has become a regional leader, known for excellent city services and fiscal responsibility.
I am a huge supporter of our Public Safety personnel and am committed to advocating at the legislature to build a joint police and fire training center in Maplewood. We must protect those who serve and protect us!
My promise is to look at all sides of an issue and make the best decisions for Maplewood. I will not shy away from the hard choices. Together, let’s make Maplewood the best place to live, raise families, and start businesses. We are heading in the right direction, let’s stay on track. Thank you for your continued support. I will not waiver in my resolve to be the best Mayor I can be.
Mayor Marylee Abrams
